The effect I was looking for with these alterations, was to develop a realistic shadowing. I was trying to make the photos look as if they were portraits done in a studio.

With Ms Chili, I used the Cutout Effect. It gave a more convincing shadow than the Drop Shadow did. Probably because the subject I was trying to shadow is black.

On Bugsy, I used the Drop Shadow effect. I also tinkered with the color a bit.
